Nigeria and Indonesia have enjoyed robust bilateral relations for decades. This is evidenced in the establishment of diplomatic Missions by Indonesia in Nigeria in 1965 which has concurrent accreditation to Ghana, Liberia, Republic of Benin, Burkina Faso, Niger, Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe, Cameroun, Congo, Gabon and the Central African region, while Nigeria reciprocated the establishment of its Mission in Jakarta in 1976 and also commenced concurrent accreditation to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in 2005.
